Strength Fundamentals with Carrine
What can i expect from this class?
Good movement + progressive resistance + strength
This is a welcoming 45-minute strength class, designed to help you move well, get stronger and feel more confident in your body. Using bodyweight, resistance bands and simple strength exercises, we'll focus on building strong foundations through good movement and gradually progressing resistance as you become stronger and more confident.
ABOUT Stength Training
Each class will include a mobility-based warm-up, strength and movement technique, resistance work and core training, finishing with mobility and stretching. As the sessions progress, we'll also explore elements such as power, low-level plyometrics and short sprint-style intervals – all introduced gradually and with different options to suit you.
IS this class suitable for me?
The class is designed with women 35+ in mind, recognising the importance of strength, muscle, bone health, fitness and maintaining our ability to move well as we get older.
You don't need any previous strength-training experience. Whether you're completely new to strength, returning after a break or already active but want to learn how to strength train with good technique, you'll be very welcome. There will always be options to make exercises easier or more challenging, allowing you to work at the right level for your body.
Come as you are, move well and build strength from the foundations up.
WHat will i need?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a drink.

About Carrine
I'm Carrine, a passionate coach with over 30 years of experience in sport, coaching and fitness. With a degree in sport and a background as a competitive swimmer and triathlete, I specialise in swimming (pool and open water), triathlon, strength and conditioning, and yoga.
My passion is helping people become stronger, healthier and more confident, both physically and mentally. I believe in developing the whole person, not just improving sporting performance, and I love helping people achieve things they never thought possible.
I'm particularly passionate about supporting women through different stages of life, including hormonal changes, motherhood and the challenges of juggling work, family and finding time for themselves. As a mum and someone who understands the demands of a busy life, I bring empathy, understanding and a realistic approach to my coaching. I believe exercise should enhance our lives, not become another pressure.
While I love the energy, challenge and achievement that sport brings, I equally recognise the importance of slowing down, finding balance and creating a calmer mind. This is why yoga is such an important part of both my personal life and coaching philosophy. I truly believe that performance and wellbeing can go hand in hand.
Above all, I believe sport, movement and wellbeing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or experience. My approach is supportive, inclusive and centred around the individual.
*I believe in helping people achieve more, without feeling they always have to do more.*
Whether you're looking to improve your swimming, take on a sporting challenge, build strength or simply find some space to breathe and reconnect, my aim is to help you feel supported, empowered and enjoy the journey.
