Terrarium Workshop - with Layla from York Terrariums

What can i expect from this class?

You’ll learn all about how these special, self-contained ecosystems survive so well on their own and how to look after them. We will start with a short introduction explaining the history and science that goes into building a terrarium, from the different plants you can use to why activated charcoal has become our special ingredient. Then it is up to you to roll up your sleeves and build your own! You will be supplied with a terrarium jar which you can fill with various plants and an arrangement of pebbles and moss.

Ask any questions you have and by the end of the session, you’ll have your own exciting miniature garden to take away and watch develop over the next months and years.

WHY Terrariums?

An impressive 95 percent of people experienced an improvement to their mental health after spending time in/with nature and 30 minutes of gardening a day reduces stress & improves wellbeing…and there’s more! So why not embrace the benefits of nature and book yourself a workshop?
