T’ai Chi with Paul

What can i expect from this class?

Our class will begin with some gentle loosening up, Chi activation and a simple partner exercise and then we will take a look at the beginning of one of our group forms. We should also have time for one or two exercises focused on breathwork, sometimes known as Qi Gong.

By the end of the session you will know more about our core principles, and enjoy the energy created when you work with other people in mindful, synchronized movement

ABOUT T’AI CHI

T’ai Chi is a gentle form of exercise which promotes relaxation, balance, health and fitness. Often called ‘moving meditation’ T’ai Chi uses slow physical movements to reduce physical and mental strains, creating a healthy body and a tranquil mind. The physical movements are combined with breathing exercises leading to increased blood circulation and increased energy levels.

Originating in China, the Lee Family Style has been practised for over 3000 years. It is an exercise for which benefits can be felt quite quickly but is also an art that can be practised for a lifetime.

IS this class suitable for me?

It is a true family style and our classes are attended by people of all ages and fitness levels.
