What’s on over Winter?
Silent Sunrise
Sunday, November 8th 6:30am - 9am
A bit like our dawn chorus (but with fewer birds and colder water), we will gather around fires in the quiet and watch the world turn from night to day under a canopy of Autumn leaves.* Arrive from 6:30-6:45am with complete quiet and no swimming until 7am. Saunas will be from 6:30am for those not willing to brave the lakes without, fires will be lit and the coffee will be brewing.
* clear skies not guaranteed!
Wreath-Making
Sunday, 29th November 3pm-6pm
This is your chance to get together with the PBF community to create your very own Pool Bridge Farm wreath. It’s not a florist led session and as always, we are aiming for connection, not perfection. The session with be led by Fran, one of our fabulous volunteers, with support from Sally and Bec.
The session will be three hours long, with the first hour of foraging being completely optional - we will make sure we forage enough for all. We have already made some collections and currently have PBF apples and pine cones drying out for use. The wreaths will be made around metal florist rings (which you can save and reuse next year).
This is a community event led by volunteers, not by florists.
Pool Bridge Writing Room
Sundays and Fridays in November
Writing is an incredible tool for brain strength and wellness, and everyone is welcome to write with us, regardless of writing experience or what form your words take (we’ve heard some of the language you come out with in the Winter!) The Pool Bridge Writing Room is an open invitation for everyone who craves the time and headspace to write. The session is lead by Faye and includes a short, word-based exercise to inspire and time to work independently on your own writing in beautiful surroundings.
This is a something very new here at PBF and we'd love to build a writing community - so for November we have a special introduction price of £8 a session.
